Marc Chun

Marc Chun is a Research Scientist at CAE. Dr. Chun works with the Collegiate Learning Assessment project, as well as RAND projects on elementary school math curricula and higher education reform in Qatar.

Dr. Chun has been a researcher at UCLA's Higher Education Research Institute, the National Center for Postsecondary Improvement, the Stanford Institute for Higher Education Research, Fordham University's National Center for Schools and Communities, the Center for Policy Research in Education, and the National Center for the Study of Youth and Families. He has also collaborated on research projects for the Urban Institute, Apple Computer, and worked for the Pew Forum for Educational Reform. He has taught sociology at the New School University, Columbia University's Teachers College, Manhattan College and Vanderbilt University.

His research focuses on the social organization of knowledge production, on the sociology of knowledge and epistemological cultures in scientific research, and on technology in higher education. Dr. Chun completed his graduate training in both sociology and education at Stanford University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in sociology and education at Columbia University.
